The mourning dove is one of the most hunted bird in in the United States, is usually hunted as an activity and not for survival reasons. They could be found in all of North America, usually in the streets and in your backyard but cant be found deep in the woods. Zenaida Macroura is a bird that only eats seeds which make 99 percent of their diet and occasionally they eat fruit or bugs but only if they must. These birds nest on trees, gutters, on the ground or reuse the nest that where made by other birds or other animals. Mourning Doves migrate north to breed and than they go back south.
