The Canada goose are very social creatures. During most of the year they stay together in flocks like in a family and usually they are all related to each other. But with these large flocks come risk. Like a flock is a way easier target then a individual bird. Another problem is with finding food and having it to yourself not worrying about other birds fighting over it. The Canada Geese are native to Canada, United States, and Mexico. They tend to live in grassy areas with water nearby. Mostly grassy places that are trimmed, like in golf courses and parks. The reason being is because their main diet is grass and water.
