Common Grackle

The Common Grackle's latin name is Quiscalus quiscula which means purple grackle. It's a medium sized bird with black plumage and and purplish- blue neck. It has a long sharp bill with yellow eyes. Males court females with singing and a dance. They're found in open areas and scattered trees. Grackles are omnivores so their food source is a mixture of berries, acorns, corn and small bugs. Common Grackles are of least concern when it comes to being extinct. They are well populated.
