The Great Blue Heron is a very large bird with a 6 foot wingspan; it has long legs, a long neck, and a long bill. The Great Blue Heron can be found in both salt water and fresh water areas; along shores, and lakes. The Great Blue heron is wading bird, the largest wading bird in North America. The Great Blue Heron has only one mate per breeding session and they always breed in colonies.
